Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare in Escondido, CA is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner (Temp) to serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations across sites. Reporting to the HR Manager, ERBP guides leaders and staff on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and performance management.

You will lead investigations, ensure policy consistency, document findings, and help develop trainings and policies to foster a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Five years of human resources experience with at least 2 years as an HR Generalist
• HR Certification, PHR or equivalent experience/education preferred
• HRIS experience with UKG preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Detail oriented with excellent customer service skills required
• Must be able to organize and prioritize to meet daily, weekly or program deadlines
• Must be able to work independently, lead others and participate as a team member
• Must be able to travel to main NHC site as well as other sites for benefit related issues as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner

Responsibilities

• Lead all employee relations investigations for assigned locations, collaborating with HR Manager, ER & TA and other ER Members as needed.
• Provide clear findings and recommendations to leadership and HR Leadership.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records of investigations and employee relations matters.
• Counsel and assist in resolving employee relations issues including, but not limited to, manager/employee situations, policies, procedures, terminations, and reorganizations.
• Identify trends in ER issues in order to develop trainings and processes to improve, and identify trends related to organizational health.
• Investigate inquiries from employees and/or managers, ensuring timely completion and communication to relevant parties.
