Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Houston is seeking a Buyer to source, negotiate, and manage a wide range of purchase requisitions in support of production. The role requires analyzing demand, issuing RFQs, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining compliance with internal policies.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 2 years of purchasing experience in electronics/mechanical components, ERP exposure (Oracle preferred), and strong analytical and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing electronics, mechanical, or electro-mechanical components.
• ERP experience, preferably Oracle.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to interact with suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities and process requisitions to support production.
• Analyze demand using MRP or manual methods to determine needs.
• Issue RFQs for price and availability and negotiate terms.
• Process RMAs and monitor supplier performance to meet production goals.
• Resolve AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation.
• Assist in implementing engineering changes and PPV approvals.
• Understand multi-level Bills of Materials for complex assemblies.
