Job summary

Electronic Source Company is seeking a Senior Buyer to procure electronic components and related materials for PCBA production. You will ensure timely sourcing and delivery, coordinating with Project Management, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Receiving, and Production while interfacing with customers and suppliers to maintain schedule adherence.

The role requires ownership, meticulous attention to detail, and strong negotiation and communication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience as a buyer/purchasing professional.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry; contract manufacturing preferred.
• Strong negotiation and sourcing capabilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase electronic components and related materials per BOMs, build schedules, and ship dates.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders in Epicor ERP with accurate part numbers, revisions, quantities, pricing, and delivery dates.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and delivery commitments with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• Review MRP demand to determine purchasing requirements and place timely orders.
• Manage open PO backlog, confirmations, and expedite deliveries as needed.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and alternate sources while maintaining vendor requirements.
• Interface with customers and cross-functional teams to provide material status and align with milestones.
