Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of MARC21, Dublin Core, and RDA.
• Familiarity with KBART, COUNTER, and SUSHI.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages the acquisition of electronic resources.
• Manages annual serials renewals and liaises with vendors for access continuity.
• Assists with journal usage data reviews to assess collection effectiveness.
• Assists with monograph purchases and communicates decisions to requesters.
• Maintains knowledge bases, authentication systems, and discovery services.
• Troubleshoots access issues and coordinates with vendors for resolution.
• Ensures accurate holdings, entitlements, and coverage data in library systems.
• Collaborates on acquisitions initiatives, vendor evaluations, and database selection.
• Coordinates reserve material ordering to support teaching and learning.
• Supervises student employees in acquisitions and collections tasks.
• Coordinates purchase of faculty-authored monographs for multiple library locations.
• Prepares reports for collection assessment and budget management.
