Job summary

The Ohio University Libraries invites applications for the Electronic Resource Access Librarian in the Acquisitions & Content Services department. This role manages the lifecycle of electronic resources, including databases, journals, eBooks, streaming media, and open access content, ensuring seamless access for the OU community.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of electronic resources: investigate and identify purchase options, oversee acquisition, activation, renewals, and cancellations; communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with library staff and university units to ensure seamless access to electronic resources; serve as primary electronic resource administrator within Alma and Primo, managing third-party linking and discovery.
• Oversee staff work, ticketing, and projects for electronic resources management; organize data gathering and analysis using COUNTER usage reports and title overlap analyses.
• Provide outreach and collaborate with the university community to align resources with teaching and research needs.
