Job summary

Cornell University Library seeks a collaborative and service-oriented Electronic Resources Librarian to join the Acquisitions & E-Resources Licensing Services team. The librarian will manage access to electronic resources, participate in licensing, maintain vendor relations, and troubleshoot access issues in a dynamic academic setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library and/or information science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Ability to troubleshoot, research, work collaboratively and develop solutions to complex problems in uncertain projects.
• Aptitude and interest in learning new technologies and standards.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong service orientation and interest in library users' values and needs.
• Excellent communication and analytic skills, including the ability to work well in a team-based environment with a diverse group.
• Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to fostering learning, research, service and/or outreach in a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• License and acquire electronic resources, maintain vendor relationships, and troubleshoot access issues.
• Develop workflows and practices that support stewardship of Cornell’s collections.
• Contribute to library-wide initiatives and engage with professional communities beyond Cornell.
• Pursue scholarship, service and professional engagement as part of the RTE faculty.
