Job summary

San Diego Architectural Foundation seeks an Executive Director who combines nonprofit leadership with strong fundraising and relationship-building skills. You will work with the Board, manage operations, and secure sustainable funding for signature programs and community initiatives.

This role offers remote flexibility with in-person events and meetings in San Diego, a 1099 independent contract arrangement, and a compensation structure that rewards revenue growth and milestone bonuses, targeting

Qualifications

5+ years of nonprofit leadership experience.
A proven fundraising track record with measurable results.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build systems, solve problems, and implement plans.
Independent, hands-on working style with proactive initiative.

Responsibilities

Oversee SDAF's day-to-day operations and governance with the Board and Executives.
Lead financial stewardship, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to secure sustainable revenues.
Coordinate programs, events, contractors, and partnerships to advance mission.
Shape SDAF's public presence, fundraising strategy, and stakeholder communications.
