Job summary

San Diego Architectural Foundation seeks an Executive Director to lead fundraising, strategy, and operations for a 1099, part-time role in San Diego. You will partner with a committed Board and executive officers, manage contracts, and drive programs and events that advance SDAF’s mission.

The position emphasizes relationship-building, donor cultivation, and public presence, with a target total compensation of $65,000–$100,000 and a base of $60,000.

Responsibilities

• Financial Stewardship & Revenue Development – lead fundraising across donors, sponsors, grants, and partnerships; manage budgets and forecasting; develop a strong development pipeline.
• Strategic leadership and governance – shape priorities with the Board and turn ideas into plans with solid governance.
• Operations – oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate committees, and manage contractors and service providers.
• Communications & Public Presence – shape SDAF’s voice, marketing, and public relations to raise visibility.
