Job summary

EDPNC in Raleigh seeks a senior business development professional to identify and cultivate corporate recruitment prospects for U.S. and international companies considering new operations, expansions, or relocations in the U.S. market.

You will generate investment leads, promote NC as a business destination, and coordinate跨-functional marketing efforts with internal teams and external partners to accelerate growth and attract investment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 5 years of business-development experience required
• Experience in life science, advanced manufacturing, fintech and/or aerospace strongly desired
• Foreign language proficiency preferred (Korean or Japanese)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
• Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM strongly desired

Responsibilities

• Generate investment leads for North Carolina’s communities through various strategies
• Identify high-growth companies to pursue for corporate recruitment
• Promote North Carolina as a business location to industry decision makers
• Develop industry marketing strategies with EDPNC Research and Marketing teams
• Reach out to industry decision makers at conferences, trade shows, and events
• Coordinate with Marketing/Events to plan Coop marketing events and serve as contact point
• Monitor industry news and position NC for new facilities
• Collaborate with partners to advance NC’s standing as a regional option
