Job summary

Duke Energy seeks an experienced Economic Development Manager to lead regional site selection and business growth initiatives across the Carolinas. You will build alliances with state and local ED partners, manage leads and packages for project closures, and promote Duke Energy's value in attracting new industrial and commercial investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or Related Degree required.
• Five years minimum related experience; Associates with seven years allowed in lieu of degree and experience.
• Eight years minimum experience for Senior role; Associates with eleven years allowed in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage economic development leads/projects in the region by building relationships with state, regional, and local ED organizations.
• Oversee activity, resources, negotiations, and packages required for project closure.
• Collaborate with Economic Development Partnership of NC and regional/local ED organizations.
• Build trade ally network through targeted ED organizations.
• Lead business development activities including site development and site analysis/assistance.
