American Electric Power Co. in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Economic & Business Development Manager to lead regional economic development initiatives, identify growth opportunities, and coordinate with marketing, community affairs, and operations to attract investment.

You will manage proposals for new buildings or sites within the AEP territory, build relationships with stakeholders, and drive strategic projects from concept to execution while upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred with 5+ years of economic/business development experience
• Associate's degree with 7+ years of economic/business development experience
• High school diploma / GED with 8 years of economic/business development experience
• Master's degree preferred; Certified Economic Development Professional designation or similar certification preferred

Responsabilités

• Proactively identifies and manages business relationships with target sector companies to generate leads and secure investment in the AEP service territory.
• Serve as a resource to Marketing, Community Affairs or Economic Development teams within the company.
• Manage and implement proposals for companies requesting buildings or sites in AEP territory; support asset utilization and business development efforts.
• Demonstrate ethical standards and support Corporate Compliance Policy; collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
