Job summary

House of Ruth Maryland seeks a Donor Engagement and Special Events Lead to support fundraising, donor engagement, volunteer programs, and community outreach. You will coordinate donor stewardship, sponsorships, and events, while maintaining donor files and coordinating volunteer efforts.

In collaboration with the Development team, you will ensure timely donor stewardship, manage events such as Crabaret and Adopt-a-Family, and cultivate corporate as well as community partnerships to advance our

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred in nonprofit management or related field.
• Minimum of two years in nonprofit fundraising, event coordination, or volunteer management.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with volunteers and community partners is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Raiser's Edge NXT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate donor stewardship activities and sponsorship fulfillment.
• Maintain files related to fundraising campaigns and corporate donor correspondence.
• Serve as point of contact for corporate and community organizations.
• Develop vendor and sponsor relationships and coordinate volunteer events.
• Organize event timelines, registrations, seating, signage, and materials.
• Manage event logistics, setup/breakdown, and day-of operations.
• Coordinate third-party fundraising events and community engagement activities.
• Prepare post-event reports including attendance and expenses.
