Job summary

House of Ruth Maryland seeks a Donor Engagement and Special Events Lead to support fundraising, donor stewardship, volunteer programs, and community outreach. The role coordinates events, manages donor relations, and assists the Development Department’s day-to-day operations.

Working with the Director of Development, Associate Director, Marketing & Communications Manager, and Data Specialist, you will ensure timely sponsorship recognition, effective volunteer engagement, and successful

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor’s preferred in related field.
• Minimum of two years nonprofit fundraising, event coordination, or volunteer management.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with volunteers and community partners preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Raiser's Edge NXT experience preferred.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate donor stewardship activities and sponsorship fulfillment.
• Maintain files related to fundraising campaigns and donor correspondence.
• Serve as the point of contact for corporate/community engagement with HRM.
• Develop new vendor and sponsor relationships in coordination with leadership.
• Coordinate volunteer appreciation and recognition activities.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and assist with post-event reports.
• Coordinate third-party fundraising events and community engagement activities.
• Collaborate with Marketing to align campaigns and promotions.
