Job summary

SouthernCarlson, Inc. is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead our Raleigh dispatch and logistics operations. You will oversee scheduling, fleet usage, and driver performance to ensure on‑time deliveries and cost efficiency.

Qualifications include a 3+ year background in logistics/dispatch with leadership experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong organizational and communication skills. This full‑time role offers salary plus bonus and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3 years of logistics/dispatch experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to make independent, strategic decisions under time constraints.
• Understanding of DOT regulations, compliance, and routing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all dispatch and transportation functions, including scheduling vendor deliveries and outbound shipments.
• Implement dispatch procedures to improve route efficiency, on-time delivery, and service standards.
• Plan driver assignments, resolve issues, and prioritize routes to optimize productivity and cost.
• Oversee DOT compliance programs and ensure fleet operations adhere to regulations.
• Manage and evaluate driver performance, including training and scheduling.
• Resolve escalated customer or vendor issues balancing satisfaction and policy.
• Forecast delivery needs with operations and leadership and align resources.
