Job summary

SAIC is seeking a growth-driven, strategic leader to oversee business development efforts in the Defense Space Market, focusing on Global Mission Data Dominance growth opportunities with the U.S. Space Force (USSF).

Reporting to the VP of Defense/Civil Space Business Development and Strategy, the Director will drive strategy, capture efforts, and customer engagement to support the Air Force, Space, and Intel Business Group's growth objectives for Space Battle Management, Command and Control

Qualifications

• 15+ years in space-focused business development, strategy, pipeline, capture, and proposal for US government opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical or business field.
• Strong network with US Space Force, US Air Force, Space Development Agency, and other DoD agencies.
• Proven track record leading teams in opportunity shaping, capture strategy, and proposal development.
• Clear, demonstrated thought leadership in space domains; excellent oral and written communication.
• Experience responding to solicitations under FAR; familiarity with industry BD best practices (Shipley, BD-CMMI).
• Eligible for Top Secret clearance immediately.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and initiate capture activities aligned with Air Force/Space/Intel goals.
• Shape and execute long-term growth strategies in Space C2 and mission integration.
• Develop teaming, price-to-win, capture plans, win tactics, and value propositions.
• Foster internal/external relationships to integrate SAIC space solutions across the customer base.
• Build high-level partnerships with government and industry decision-makers.
• Strengthen SAIC’s brand through thought leadership and market visibility efforts.
