Responsibilities

• Define department scope with Medical Staff and Hospital Administration.
• Determine personnel requirements and implement staffing policies.
• Approve hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations; manage budgets.
• Conduct or review performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Texas Dept Health, JCAHO, CAP; promote quality improvement.
