Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Director of Engineering to maintain an attractive, safe, and fully operable hotel/resort environment. You will oversee budget, capital projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation while upholding corporate standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires leadership of the engineering team, strategic planning, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure service excellence and reliability across facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience actively serving in a facilities engineering leadership role in a hotel/resort environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Property Management, or similar practice preferred and/or significant relevant experience.
• Extensive project management experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance skills.
• Must be strategic and have strong business acumen.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Communications: prepare and deliver messages; promote information to stakeholders; prepare reports; manage stakeholder expectations.
• Quality Control: ensure standards for hotel/resort; review metrics; maintain specifications; develop best practices.
• Technology: oversee facility management technologies; assess application; operate CMMS, BAS, lighting controls.
• Operations & Maintenance: assess facility condition; manage maintenance activities and contracts; evaluate options.
• Finance & Business: manage engineering budget; oversee contracts and financial reporting; analyze financial documents.
• Emergency Planning: support emergency preparedness program; design and execute simulations.
• Project Management: plan and oversee projects; define scope and resources; administer contracts.
• Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability: manage environmental impact programs; monitor utilities and sustainability efforts.
