Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Director of Indirect Procurement & Category Management to lead enterprise-wide sourcing and category programs across indirect spend. The role partners with executive leaders to ensure procurement strategies support growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial objectives while guiding a team of procurement professionals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive procurement, sourcing, or category management leadership.
• 5+ years leading procurement, sourcing, or category management teams.
• Experience with enterprise-wide indirect spend programs, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Demonstrated success delivering transformational procurement initiatives and value creation.
• Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier management, procurement technology, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year indirect procurement and category management strategy aligned with objectives, growth, and financial targets.
• Translate enterprise priorities into category roadmaps, sourcing plans, supplier strategies, and measurable procurement outcomes.
• Lead procurement planning to optimize total cost of ownership, service levels, supplier performance, and efficiency.
• Establish category governance frameworks, sourcing standards, and procurement policies.
• Oversee strategic management of indirect spend categories and supplier portfolios.
• Lead supplier relationship management and executive governance forums with strategic suppliers.
• Partner with Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Facilities to align procurement priorities.
• Drive procurement modernization, analytics, and process improvements across the function.
• Coach and develop category management and sourcing team members.
