Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Director of Indirect Procurement & Category Management to lead enterprise-wide sourcing strategies and governance. You will partner with Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Legal and Compliance to deliver value and risk mitigation.

In this role, you will build category roadmaps, drive supplier performance, and oversee a team of procurement professionals. The position emphasizes strategic thinking, data-driven decision making, and executive collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive procurement leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading procurement teams.
• Experience with indirect spend in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior leaders.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier management.
• Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year indirect procurement strategy.
• Translate priorities into category roadmaps, sourcing plans, supplier strategies, and measurable procurement outcomes.
• Lead procurement planning processes that optimize total cost of ownership, customer service levels, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
• Establish category governance frameworks, sourcing standards, and procurement policies that drive consistency and accountability across the enterprise.
• Partner with executives to align procurement strategies with business goals and financial objectives.
• Lead supplier relationship management programs and executive reviews with key suppliers.
• Drive risk management, regulatory compliance, and supply chain resilience initiatives.
• Guide procurement transformation and operational excellence through digital tools and analytics.
• Develop talent, coach teams, and foster a high-performing procurement culture.
