Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a Supply Chain Demand Manager in Northampton, MA to drive demand forecasting, planning, and alignment across sales, marketing, finance, and operations. You will lead S&OP/IBP activities, improve forecast accuracy, and provide actionable insights to optimize inventory and service levels.

You will analyze historical data, market trends, and promotional activity while partnering with multiple functions to balance demand with production capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum five years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning.
• Experience leading S&OP/IBP processes.
• Proven ability to improve forecast accuracy with data-driven insights.
• Experience with ERP/MRP environments and planning systems.
• Advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve demand forecasts across products, customers, and regions.
• Lead the demand-planning portion of S&OP/IBP with cross-functional alignment.
• Analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and promotions affecting demand.
• Gather business intelligence and challenge assumptions to create a single approved plan.
• Monitor forecast accuracy using KPI dashboards and variance analyses.
• Identify root causes of forecast variances and implement corrective actions.
• Provide demand-based recommendations for safety stock and inventory positioning.
• Develop scenarios for new products, changes, and phase-outs.
• Communicate recommendations to leadership and drive continuous improvement.
