Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a demand planning professional to maintain a rolling forecast by product family and planning horizon, analyze orders and backlog, and support the monthly S&OP cycle. You will translate demand into purchasing and material planning requirements, communicate changes across functions, and help manage shortages, obsolescence, and new-product transitions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a rolling demand forecast by product, family, and planning horizon.
• Analyze customer orders, backlog, historical demand, and forecast changes.
• Prepare and support the monthly demand review and S&OP process.
• Measure forecast accuracy and bias; identify significant changes and root causes.
• Translate system demand into requirements for purchasing and material planning.
• Communicate demand changes and risks to Production Planning and Procurement.
• Identify shortage, excess, and obsolescence exposure before it affects operations.
• Support new-product introductions, phase-outs, and major customer/program changes.
• Requests expedite and de-expedite material based on production planned requirements.
• Support in daily schedule and shortage/material-readiness reviews.
