Job summary

Autocar Parts, LLC is seeking a Demand Planner to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for assigned products and customers. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, and Supply Planning to identify demand changes and provide a reliable demand signal for decisions.

The role focuses on forecast accuracy, coordinating S&OP with internal stakeholders, and managing demand signals through lifecycle events.

Qualifications

• Demand planning experience in distribution environments.
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of S&OP, inventory planning, and MRP.
• Proficient MRP skills.
• Experience across supply chain planning functions.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred focus in supply chain, logistics or mathematics.
• At least 2 years of Demand Planning, forecasting, supply chain planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecasts for products, customers, and business segments.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias; investigate variances and improve performance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Product Management on inputs to the forecast.
• Prepare for monthly Demand-EPM and S&OP meetings and communicate changes.
• Manage forecasts for new product introductions, promotions, and lifecycle events.
• Monitor major customer orders and unusual demand patterns and assess impact.
• Maintain forecasts and planning data in ERP systems.
• Use exception-based planning to prioritize items needing attention.
• Support excess and obsolete inventory reviews with demand outlook.
