Job summary

M-D Building Products is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to own demand accuracy across the S&OP process. You will lead demand reviews with sales, publish consensus forecasts, and explain changes and risks to executives.

Build baselines using time-series methods and integrate sales input to form a consensus plan. You will manage forecast accuracy, safety stock, and demand-sensing for new products, ensuring data integrity across forecasts, overrides, and master data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (supply chain, statistics, data science, applied math).
• 5+ years in demand planning/forecasting within an S&OP/IBP process.
• Proven track record of building/executing an S&OP demand plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly demand review with sales and leadership; publish consensus forecast.
• Build/maintain statistical baseline forecast by SKU/customer/region.
• Own forecast accuracy, bias measurement and root-cause analysis.
• Set safety stock and other demand-side planning parameters.
• Own demand sensing for new products, promos, and shaping events.
• Ensure planning data (forecasts, overrides, safety stock, master data) is accurate.
• Collaborate with Senior Supply Planner to align demand plan with constraints.
• Present the demand plan and key assumptions in the monthly executive S&OP cycle.
