Job summary

SGL Carbon SE in St. Marys, PA, is seeking a Demand Planning professional to plan and manage allocated supply chain resources and demand processes to meet customer service targets while minimizing cost and optimizing stock levels.

You will establish robust demand forecasts, lead NA monthly demand reviews with Sales, translate forecasts into feeder stock needs, and support MRP processes. Strong analytic skills and SAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• Three years work experience in a computer based MPS/MRP production-planning environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, geometry and trigonometry
• Knowledge of MS Office and SAP R3 modules (SD/MM/PP)

Responsibilities

• Establish robust demand forecasts using statistical tools and historical data
• Lead NA monthly demand reviews with Sales and represent NA demand planning at SOP meetings
• Ensure demand plans are created, reviewed, updated and communicated monthly for a rolling 12‑month horizon
• Establish, monitor and report demand planning metrics like accuracy and material availability
• Regulate NA FFS inventory levels to meet customer service goals
• Translate quarterly sales forecast into feeder stock requirements and update plans
• Support development and maintenance of the MRP process
• Collaborate with Product Management and Supply Planning on new items and changes
• Provide information to develop accurate inventory forecasts
• Ensure import compliance for orders outside the United States
