Job summary

SGL Carbon in the United States is seeking a Demand Planning professional to manage graphite-based materials planning for the Americas. You will oversee ~350 SKUs, coordinate ~30 monthly purchase orders worth >$1M, and drive demand accuracy and inventory strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• 3 years of work experience in a computer-based MPS/MRP production-planning environment
• Strong communication skills, written and spoken
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; SAP R3 modules (SD/MM/PP)
• Travel up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Establishes robust demand forecasts using statistical tools and historical data
• Lead NA monthly demand reviews with Sales; represent NA demand planning at SOP meetings
• Ensure demand plans are created, reviewed, and communicated to Supply Planning monthly
• Establishes and monitors demand planning metrics (accuracy, availability)
• Implement continuous improvements to demand planning processes
• Regulate NA finished goods stock levels to meet customer service goals
• Translate quarterly forecasts into feeder stock requirements and communicate plans
• Support MRP processes and integration with Product Management and Supply Planning
• Collaborate on new items and items transitions
• Provide data for inventory forecasts and OTD support
• Drive process improvements and safety goals
• Handle import compliance for orders outside the US
