Job summary

Patriot Group International Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Business Development Proposal Manager to lead defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure pursuits. This full-time role manages compliance, quality, and on-time delivery of every proposal.

You will coordinate writers, SMEs, and graphics, set schedules, lead color and gate reviews, and translate capture strategy into evaluator-ready content while partnering with the VP of BD and CSO.

Qualifications

• Eight years in proposal or business development within government contracting.
• Lead proposal manager on full lifecycle pursuits.
• Ability to manage matrixed writers and executives to deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of Sections L and M, compliance matrices, evaluation criteria, and color team processes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of proposals from bid decision through submission and post-submission review.
• Analyze solicitations and build the compliance matrix, annotated outline, proposal management plan, and writing assignments.
• Set and baseline the proposal schedule, including author assignments, page allocations, review dates, and production milestones.
• Lead proposal kickoff, recurring stand-ups, and writers’ working sessions, driving daily accountability for section completion.
• Direct the work of assigned writers, subject matter experts, graphics support, and consultants for each pursuit.
• Approve the final proposal package for release and authorize submission; the Coordinator handles submission mechanics.
