Job summary

JP Morgan Chase is seeking a Data Scientist within the Business Banking Deposit & Cash Management Product Analytics team. You will provide data-driven insights to product managers, act as a consultant to define problem statements, build frameworks, run analyses, and review results with partners.

You will help understand customer behaviors, identify opportunities, and improve engagement and efficiency across banking products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline with a focus on data engineering, data warehousing, computer science, and/or data-driven analytics
• Three years of experience in data science or quant analytics
• Advanced SQL skills, including data transformation, discovery, validation, de-duplication, aggregation, edge-case identification, and data structure transformation
• Experience working across multiple database platforms, both on-premises (e.g., Teradata, Oracle) and cloud-based (e.g., AWS, Snowflake)
• Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues concisely
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to writing code and documentation
• Experience leveraging large language models to comment, optimize, and debug code for improved development efficiency

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with product managers and functional partners
• Own the development and execution of analyses and reports end to end
• Summarize data results in a non-technical manner for business partners
• Translate business questions into data-driven approaches
• Deliver diagnostic deep dives, forecasting, and performance reporting that leaders can act on
• Maintain a strong focus on sound controls and data quality
