Job summary

Meta designs, builds and operates hyperscale data centers, seeking a Data Center Site Selection Manager to lead complex real estate deals. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to evaluate locations, negotiate land, incentives and power agreements, and manage a portfolio of site projects.

You must have deep experience in site selection and negotiations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive large contracts. Domestic travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of site selection and data center or capital projects experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop Meta’s owned data center location strategy and manage site selection for real estate.
• Lead feasibility discussions and contract negotiations with service providers, property owners, and utilities.
• Negotiate letters of intent, land or building purchases, incentives, water/sewer, and other site agreements; support power negotiations.
• Partner with internal teams including capacity planning, design, construction, network engineering, legal, policy, and finance.
• Prepare location recommendations and present to management for approval.
• Develop portfolio management metrics and tracking mechanisms.
• Maintain relationships with communities and service providers; support expansion of data centers.
• Manage external vendors for site development work.
• Travel domestically (25-50%).
