Job summary

Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates data centers. The Data Center Site Selection Manager will lead real estate strategy and negotiations for hyperscale projects, coordinating with utilities, legal, policy, and finance teams. Travel 25-50% is required.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in site selection or infrastructure development, proven negotiation experience, and strong financial modeling skills to drive strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading real estate negotiations and contract formation/negotiations.
• Ability to represent business interests to governments, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Experience managing large real estate development projects with internal and external teams.
• Strong financial modeling and due diligence in data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop Meta’s owned data center location strategy in assigned geography and lead site selection for real estate.
• Lead feasibility discussions and contract negotiations with service providers, owners, and utilities.
• Negotiate LOIs, land/building purchases, incentives, and water/sewer agreements, and support power negotiations.
• Partner with internal teams across capacity planning, design, legal, policy, and finance.
• Present project location recommendations to management for approval.
• Maintain relationships with communities and service providers; extend existing agreements or create new ones.
