Weber Shandwick’s New York office is seeking an Account Director in New York to join its Global Crisis and Issues Practice. The role focuses on crisis preparedness, reputation management and live crisis support for high-profile clients across industries.

You will lead diverse projects, mentor emerging talent, and collaborate with global partners to deliver strategic, timely counsel in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of crisis communications and issues management experience in an agency/consulting setting.
• Experience counseling clients/senior executives through crises and high-stakes situations.
• Expertise in corporate reputation, brand management and protective communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and client relationships as a key team member to navigate complex crisis and issues.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact, providing counsel and triaging issues.
• Lead data-driven analysis to inform strategy, including media analytics and a/b testing where appropriate.
• Develop crisis plans, media strategies, reactive statements and trainings as needed.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver industry-leading perspectives and client success.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, and contribute to business development.
