Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst to manage the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collections and adherence to credit policies. You will analyze accounts, communicate with customers, and support risk mitigation efforts.

The role requires strong communication, data analysis, and Excel skills, with experience in financial statements and lien knowledge. Collaboration with Sales, Billing, A/R, and Legal is essential to success.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze assigned accounts to ensure balances comply with terms.
• Build and maintain relationships with external and internal customers (Sales, Billing, A/R, Legal).
• Investigate, document, communicate, report and resolve issues impacting prompt payment or disputed items.
• Maintain system related to customer set-up, maintenance, and account-specific discussions.
• Ensure processing of legal documentation (liens and releases) is performed and documented timely.
• Participate in meetings to advise on risk mitigation and timely collection of receivables.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline credit, collections and A/R processes.
• Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting.
• Participate in development and implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency.
