Job summary

Needham Bank is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Lending Officer to evaluate, authorize or recommend approval of commercial loans and advise borrowers on financial status and payment methods. You will coordinate the entire banking relationship for clients and prospects in the New Hampshire market.

The role requires strong knowledge of commercial lending, sales and customer service, with a focus on building relationships and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related area.
• Five or more years' experience in commercial banking.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and laws.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with teams on commercial real estate loan requests.
• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the loan process.
• Analyze applicant financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Originate and close new loans to existing customers and prospects.
• Negotiate legal documents and coordinate third-party reports for closings.
• Review, track progress, and approve loan disbursements for loans with additional funding.
• Cross-sell other bank products including deposits, cash management and treasury services.
• Represent the Bank at community functions.
