Job summary

Needham Bank seeks a Small Business Relationship Manager in Portsmouth, NH. You will evaluate and authorize commercial loans, advise borrowers on financial status, and develop creditworthy relationships aligned with bank goals.

You will meet applicants, analyze financials, originate and close loans, and cross-sell banking products. Strong SBA loan knowledge and excellent communication are required for success.

Qualifications

• Extensive portfolio management and business development experience.
• Strong knowledge of SBA loan programs (7(a), Express, 504).
• Excellent sales, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across the organization and adapt to change.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, authorize or recommend approval of commercial loans.
• Advise borrowers on financial status and payment methods.
• Develop relationships that are creditworthy and align with bank goals.
• Meet with applicants to collect information for loan applications.
• Analyze applicant financial status and property evaluations.
• Originate and close new loans in line with policies and regulations.
• Cross-sell bank products including deposits, cash management, and wealth services.
• Collaborate with residential/commercial real estate groups for new business.
• Support in loan documentation and credit analysis processes.
• Represent the bank at community functions and internal task forces.
