Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our New York City team, supporting construction cost management across major programs. You will work with clients, project teams, and vendors to deliver accurate estimates, reports, and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in cost management, plus a relevant degree and strong communication skills. On-site role with the potential for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation is valuable or progressing toward it.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, manage prequalification of vendors, assess proposals and bids, and chair bid interviews.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees, direct costs, and other costs; review estimates and present to client.
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts; manage budgeting and spend forecast with client; maintain risk registers.
