Job summary

Acuity International, in Richland, WA, is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator/Cost Analyst to support the Department of Energy at the Hanford Site. You will work on Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) for capital asset, design-build, and infrastructure projects, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop labor, material, subcontract, and equipment cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• 5 years of experience in cost estimating, cost analysis, project controls, scheduling or construction management.
• PMP, CCP, EVP, PSP, or similar certifications are desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and pivot tables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project teams, technical experts, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) for capital asset, design-build, and infrastructure projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, subcontract, and equipment cost estimates.
• Analyze project scope, drawings, and technical documentation to develop defensible cost estimates.
• Lead estimate development efforts and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Evaluate contractor proposals for cost reasonableness, realism, and compliance with acquisition requirements.
• Analyze direct and indirect cost elements.
• Compile, interpret, and communicate complex financial and cost data.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support contract and project decisions.
