Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC seeks a mid to senior-level Cost Estimator/Analyst to support a federal program management office in Washington, DC. The role focuses on developing lifecycle cost estimates and IGCEs for DHS-related programs, with emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and adherence to GAO guidelines.

You will conduct sensitivity analyses, participate in technical interchanges, and present results in multiple formats for stakeholders across government and contracting teams.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, management, finance, math, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant cost estimating certifications with ICEAA or AACE is desired.
• 3-10 years plus of experience.
• Previous work with CBP or DHS is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
• Experience with ACEIT and Crystal Ball software is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively solve problems.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs) and independent government cost estimates (IGCEs) for the client's programs and projects, as well as ad hoc estimates and analyses.
• Conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses.
• Participate in program meetings and technical interchanges to remain current with program requirements.
• Participate in the review and reconciliation of estimates developed by other contractors.
• Present results of estimates in a variety of formats such as verbal presentations, narrative reports, and briefings charts
• Generate estimates in accordance with DHS Headquarters and GAO Cost Assessment Guide standards to facilitate government review, third-party replication and validation, and future updates or enhancements.
