Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Cost Estimator/Analyst for a nuclear project in Idaho Falls, ID. The role will develop, evaluate, and maintain cost information to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and informed business decisions.

The incumbent will document estimating assumptions and coordinate with technical, project, and business stakeholders to ensure estimates are complete, traceable, and aligned with the scope of work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is beneficial.
• Experience in cost estimating or cost analysis preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical scope and translate to cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost estimates and supporting analyses for assigned projects or scopes.
• Review scope, schedule, labor, materials, and other cost inputs for completeness and consistency.
• Document estimate methodologies, assumptions, exclusions, risks, and basis of estimate.
• Analyze cost data, trends, variances, and forecasts and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with technical, project, procurement, finance, and other teams to obtain inputs.
• Prepare cost reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and client review.
• Support budgeting, planning, change evaluation, and decision-making with cost information.
• Maintain organized estimating records and ensure compliance with quality and confidentiality standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, or related functions.
