Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks a mid to senior-level cost estimator to support a federal program management office in Washington, DC. You will develop life cycle cost estimates and IGCEs, conduct sensitivity analyses, and present results to diverse stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 3–10+ years of experience, relevant ICEAA/AACE credentials, and proficiency with ACEIT, Crystal Ball, and PowerBI. A collaborative, problem-solving mindset is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, finance, math, engineering, or related discipline.
• Relevant cost estimating certifications with ICEAA or AACE desired.
• 3–10+ years of experience.
• Previous work with CBP or DHS is a plus.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
• Experience with ACEIT and Crystal Ball software is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A true team player with a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs) and IGCEs for programs and projects.
• Conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses.
• Participate in program meetings and technical interchanges.
• Review and reconcile estimates developed by other contractors.
• Present results in verbal, narrative, and briefing formats.
• Generate estimates per DHS and GAO standards for validation and updates.
