Job summary

Progress is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Corporate Legal team. This hybrid role will work between your home office and our Burlington MA headquarters, supporting M&A, SEC reporting, corporate governance, and international subsidiary governance.

It is an excellent growth opportunity for an early career lawyer to gain subject matter expertise while making a meaningful impact. You will liaise with internal stakeholders, manage multiple matters and deadlines, and help build scalable tools

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 1–3+ years of relevant experience in corporate law, either at a law firm or in-house.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with ability to build relationships across the company.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of M&A activity, including diligence, drafting, and post-closing tasks.
• Assist in preparing SEC filings, proxy statements, and governance disclosures.
• Support global subsidiary governance and cross-border restructurings.
• Assist executive compensation and equity plan matters.
• Negotiate and manage global real estate negotiations.
• Develop tools and automation to improve workflows for the role.
