Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans LLC in Ladson, SC seeks a Corporate Counsel to provide timely legal advice and transactional support across procurement, contracts, employment, immigration, and litigation matters. You will draft and negotiate contracts, ensure policy alignment, and support leadership on strategic legal issues in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a JD from a US law school, active U.S. attorney license, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Licensed active U.S. attorney in good standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of law.
• Excellent legal administration and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze and articulate legal positions, obligations, risks, and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, AI, and other tech tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely legal advice and analysis for management and business units.
• Prepare, review, and revise contracts and related legal documents.
• Draft, negotiate, and implement contracts in line with Mercedes-Benz policy.
• Offer guidance on employment, immigration, labor, and litigation matters.
• Support business units with legal consultation and risk assessments.
• Assist with supplier disputes and negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and provide recommendations.
• Support litigation, arbitration, or other dispute processes as needed.
• Attend regular team meetings and coordinate with other departments.
