Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group seeks a hands-on Controller to lead all day-to-day accounting and reporting for a growing, private equity-backed organization formed by multiple operating companies. You will establish best practices, accelerate close timelines, and partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting functions.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with project accounting, job costing, or contract-based environments.
• Proven track record improving accounting processes and reducing close timelines.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
• Hands-on leadership style with willingness to dive into transaction-level details.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Manage monthly close process and improve workflows.
• Strengthen internal controls and provide timely financial information to leadership.
• Drive efficiency in month-end close and implement scalable processes.
• Oversee payroll support, A/P, A/R, cash management, and fixed assets.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee project accounting processes and reporting to improve visibility.
• Partner with operations to allocate costs and report on profitability.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and enhance reporting.
