Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controller in Ohio to oversee accounting and HR functions, reporting to the CEO. You will lead full-cycle accounting, manage the accounting team, ensure accurate financials, and maintain strong internal controls.

Your responsibilities include payroll oversight, budgeting, contract review, and collaboration with leadership on pricing and vendor contracts. This is an in-person leadership role with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading accounting and HR functions within one organization.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Contract review and payroll management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle accounting, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close.
• Oversee AP, AR, Payroll, GL.
• Manage accounting department and staff.
• Manage cash flow and budgeting to meet company needs.
• Oversee purchasing and payroll activities.
• Collaborate with CEO on contracts and pricing.
• Draft and manage budgets and forecasts for operations and projects.
• Lead audits and finance committee discussions.
• Maintain accounting systems and documentation (QuickBooks).
• HR management: insurance plans, compensation analysis, payroll oversight, recruiting, employee relations.
