Job summary

Lorient is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and treasury, building scalable financial infrastructure in a PE-backed, fast-growing environment. You will own monthly close, GAAP reporting, and the ERP build, while overseeing AP, billing, and treasury with a hands-on approach.

You will work with the CFO and sponsor's finance team, guiding a small in-house group, and driving automation and AI-enabled financial operations.

Qualifications

8-12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, Big 4 or national firm background.
Controller/VP-level experience in a PE-backed, high-growth company.
Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, reconcilations, and monthly close.
Experience leading GL system conversions or ERP implementations.
Experience overseeing GL, AP, billing, treasury, and payroll.
Experience coordinating annual external audits and tax compliance.
Hands-on operator willing to work on core accounting tasks.
Strong Excel skills and exposure to AI-enabled financial processes.

Responsibilities

Own the close and financial reporting, ensuring timely GAAP-compliant statements.
Lead GL conversion and ERP build to scale with growth and acquisitions.
Manage treasury, AP, and billing with cash forecasting and vendor analytics.
Build internal controls and coordinate external audits and tax filings.
Lead and grow a small accounting team; drive automation and AI usage.
