Job summary

Blayze Group, a private equity‑backed specialty construction platform, is seeking a Controller to lead and scale the accounting function across the platform and its operating companies. This hands‑on leadership role works closely with the CFO, operating groups, and the PE sponsor to strengthen the accounting foundation and deliver timely GAAP reporting.

The ideal candidate combines deep U.S. GAAP expertise with practical process design, multi‑entity consolidation, and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience leading a close process across multiple entities.
• Experience with construction or project-based businesses and WIP accounting is a plus.
• Experience integrating acquisitions or standardizing processes across multiple entities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closes across platform and operating companies.
• Establish consistent accounting policies and close processes.
• Produce GAAP financial statements and consolidated reporting.
• Manage intercompany accounting, consolidation, and eliminations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for a growing organization.
• Lead audits with external auditors and support purchase accounting for acquisitions.
• Improve project cost tracking, margins, and WIP reporting with operations.
