Job summary

KR Wolfe is seeking a Controller to lead Accounting & Finance across multiple divisions. Reporting to the CFO, you will own the close process, internal controls, and financial reporting for labor-intensive services and construction projects.

You will oversee AR, AP, payroll, and GL, drive cash forecasting, and advance Quickbase as the primary system of record while collaborating with operations and IT for real-time project visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including 4–6 years in Controller or senior accounting leadership
• Mastery of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting
• Experience with progress/milestone billing and job costing in labor-intensive environments
• ERP/ERP-like platforms with ability to drive system design for project-based accounting (Quickbase highly valued)
• Excellent leadership presence and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own design and implementation of internal controls and governance to ensure GAAP compliance
• Lead accounting operations: AR, AP, payroll, GL, and month/quarter/year close
• Oversee revenue recognition for service and construction contracts; ensure accurate WIP and billing
• Drive profitability insights through divisional analysis and variance reporting
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Partner with operations, IT, and finance to enhance Quickbase as the system of record
