KR Wolfe Inc. is a dynamic, multi‑division services and construction company seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead Accounting & Finance.

You will own the integrity of financial data, implement robust controls, and drive strategic reporting for growth across healthcare, education, commercial, and government sectors. You will supervise AR/AP/Payroll/GL, manage the close processes, and enhance Quickbase as the ERP-like system of record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8–12 years progressive accounting experience, including 4–6 years in controller/senior leadership roles in labor-intensive services or construction.
• Proven mastery of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and both cash and accrual accounting.
• Deep hands‑on expertise in construction and service‑industry accounting: billing, lien releases, WIP, job costing, multi‑contract management.
• Strong ERP experience; Quickbase highly valued; SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Sage or equivalents also accepted.
• Excellent leadership and communication for interactions with banks, auditors, insurers, and the Executive Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and continuous improvement of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Lead revenue recognition for service and construction contracts (progress billings, milestones, change orders, retainage).
• Manage AR, AP, Payroll, and General Ledger; own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with variance analysis.
• Drive cash flow via collections, AP management, accurate cash forecasting, and resolve billing delays.
• Oversee job costing, multi‑contract management, and proper allocation of direct costs and overhead.
• Lead Quickbase as the primary system of record and drive real‑time visibility into project costs and profitability.
• Coordinate with operations and project managers; deliver strategic reporting to the Executive Team.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario models, and cash‑flow projections for growth.
