Job summary

The Driver Provider, a premier chauffeured transportation company, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting department and partner with the CFO and executive leadership.

This hands-on role spans strategic and tactical work, overseeing AP, AR, GL, payroll, and month-end close while driving process improvements, controls, and automation to support growing business needs.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Experience with AP, AR and payroll; solid GL reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.
• Maintain accrual-based financial records in accordance with GAAP.
• Work with CFO on month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and provide meaningful financial analysis to support decisions.
• Oversee banking relationships, credit card administration and reconciliations.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting and SOP creation.
• Coach and develop accounting staff; drive process improvements.
