Job summary

Resource Data is seeking a Controller to provide senior-level leadership over accounting operations and financial reporting. You will oversee the general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and internal controls while ensuring accurate, timely information.

You will partner with leadership, external auditors, and CPAs, guiding a small accounting team in a hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline; or equivalent
• 8+ years of accounting experience including 3+ years in management
• Knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Discretion with confidential financial information

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting functions: general ledger, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll accounting
• Own month-end and year-end close; deliver GAAP-compliant statements
• Establish accounting policies, procedures, and controls for compliance and audit readiness
• Coordinate with external auditors and CPAs on annual audits and tax reporting
• Address government inquiries and vendor/client accounting issues promptly
• Prepare and direct financial analysis, filings, and strategic reporting
• Present findings and act as strategic partner in financial planning
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
