Job summary

CFS is seeking a hands-on Controller who partners with the CFO to oversee accounting and drive strategic financial leadership. This role offers visibility across the business, with opportunities to expand into broader finance leadership and streamline processes.

The Controller will lead the accounting team, manage close cycles, and collaborate with operations to improve profitability, including ERP optimization and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Finance and understanding of cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial reporting
• Oversee accounting operations, audits, internal controls, and GAAP compliance
• Manage cost accounting, inventory accounting, and project accounting activities
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and profitability
• Drive ERP optimization, automation, and process improvement initiatives
• Support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and growth initiatives
