Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Manager of Contract & Purchasing to lead procurement for ordinary goods, services, and major equipment. You will drive strategy, vendor due diligence, and risk management while coordinating with legal, finance, and operations to achieve best value and ethical standards.

Responsibilities include contract formation, KPI attainment, and development of P2P policies. Leadership of a 6+ person team, and ensuring compliance with NERC CIP and corporate policies are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology or related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive procurement experience including contract formation/negotiation and P2P.
• 3 years of supervisory or lead experience.
• Knowledge of commercial, construction and technology contract law and various delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage procurement objectives and procedures.
• Advise leadership on sourcing and contracting methodologies for third‑party engagements.
• Administer procurement contracts and related agreements (NDA, system access, etc.).
• Drive digital transformation of procurement processes and data analytics.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, finance, audit, and other stakeholders to address contractual risk.
• Maintain professional knowledge and monitor market trends.
